the beauty of validation is that its subjectivity leaves one's sense of self-worth intact, regardless of the rancor dished out. Or is that invalidation. Whenever I think of invalidation, I think of a parking lot with ticket booths---like at an airport. but then I start to think of the root word within that word, and then I begin to think of the concept of being invalid...which always makes me think of being an invalid. It depresses me to think that invalids are synonymous with being invalid. expired. stamped and cancelled. now I just want to eat ice cream in the dark and cry for my lost innocence.
validation is triple chocolate with a paper towel and a warm spoon and a large, blank wall for gazing.
while your final statement is clearly correct, the initial paragraph seems to misconstrue the meaning of most of its key words...not that i'm saying your an invalid.
